Catalyst Leadership Facilitator
Grant Year 2026–27 (with possibility of extension)
Approx. 10 hours/week | $65/hour

Please note: This opportunity is contingent upon final approval of the California state budget and continued funding for the California Libraries Learn (CALL) program.

California Libraries Learn (CALL) is seeking a collaborative and experienced facilitator to support the 2026–27 Catalyst leadership cohort. This person will work alongside CALL’s Project Supervisor for Training as part of a small facilitation team.

Catalyst is a cohort-based 12-month leadership development program designed to equip and support California library workers with development opportunities that allow them to lead from anywhere. The Facilitator will support cohort learning, mentoring, and program development throughout the grant year.

Responsibilities
Co-facilitate monthly virtual cohort meetings
Coordinate the program's mentoring activities, including mentor/mentee matching, check-ins, and ongoing support
Help plan and facilitate two in-person events during the program year, most likely in November 2026 and March 2027
Support communication with mentors, training providers, participants, and other stakeholders
Provide occasional coaching and leadership development support
Assist with outreach, applications, and program development informed by participant feedback
Attend all required cohort meetings and events. (Travel expenses that are required under the grant responsibilities will be reimbursed by the grant.)

Requirements

Desired Qualifications
Strong facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting collaborative, assets-based learning environments
Knowledge of leadership development practices in libraries or public service settings
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience facilitating training in inclusive leadership practices and/or leadership wellness is a plus
