To ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information; to empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information; to instill a love of learning and reading in all students and ensure equitable access to information; to support classroom instruction.

Requirements

Education/Certification:

• Bachelors degree from accredited university
• Masters degree in related field required
• School Librarian Certificate required
• Masters on Library and Information Science preferred 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Ability to use new technologies and current library methodologies 

Experience:

• 2 years teaching experience required
• 1 year experience as librarian or library assistant preferred
