George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia, invites applications for the position of Law Library Director. This is a faculty position with an appointment as a Term Instructional Professor.

The Law Library Director is responsible for all aspects of law library and technology operations, including but not limited to, research services, instruction and teaching, collections and technical services, library access and facilities, faculty services, and technology services and support. This position currently has five direct reports and oversees a dedicated team of fifteen full-time librarians and staff. The Law Library Director collaborates closely with the law school’s Dean, senior leadership, and faculty and staff to advance the mission of Scalia Law. As a Term Instructional Professor, the Law Library Director will also have teaching and service responsibilities.

Applicants should have a J.D. and a master’s degree in library and information science, supervisory experience, and substantial experience in a law library or similar setting, in addition to other required and preferred qualifications.
